Say hello to Mindy! Mindy is a 2 month old Goatadoodle who came in for a little tummy trouble. The culprit was her little squeakier toy! With a little patience the toy passed thru her system and Mindy is back home with her happy family! Don’t you just love her happy face!?!? We look forward to seeing more of Minday as we learn more about this breed and her specific needs. #AprilFools... #veterinarymedicine #veterinarian #petsofinstagram #healthypets #veterinaryhospital #veterinaryclinic #happypets #welovewhatwedo #onlinepharmacy #dogsofinstagram #vettechsofinstagram #vettech

NATIONAL TAKE A WALK IN THE PARK DAY National Take A Walk In The Park Day on March 30th each year encourages us to stretch our legs on our favorite trail or at our neighborhood park. After a long busy day, a calming and therapeutic way to relax would be a nice, leisurely walk in the park. A excellent way to celebrate is to leash up your furry best friend and bring him along too! Taking a walk at a local park is an excellent way to clear one’s mind from the stresses of the day..., re-energize and at the same time, to improve health. During a walk, the opportunity to capture a beautiful photograph, and of corse, share it with us! Embrace this little chance to lose track of time and maybe even run into a familiar face, too. When taking a walk in the park, all sorts of pleasant surprises could blossom. #catsrule #welovecats #welovekittens #kittensofinstagram #catsofinstagram #welovewhatwedo #veterinarian #veterinaryclinic #veterinaryhospital #vettech #cats #crazycatlady #catcrazy #emergencyveterinarian #welovewhatwedo #veterinarian #veterinaryclinic #veterinarytech #veterinaryhospital #dogsofinstagram #dogsrule #petsofinstagram See more

Holiday Dangers: Poisonous plants popular during the holiday season Nothing quite ruins the holiday spirit like a trip to the emergency vet especially for something that could have been avoided. There are tons of plants that are poisonous to your pets that are available year-round (view the full list on the ASPCA website), but around the holidays many of these popular but poisonous plants seem to be in every home! Do yourself, your vet, and your pet a favor and keep these poisonous holiday plants out of your home or safely out of reach of your pets! #petsafety #holidaysafety #christmas #holidays #pets #petsofinstagram #dogsofinstagram #catsofinstagram #veterinarian #veterinaryclinic #happypets #healthypets #welovewhatwedo

Halloween can be the spookiest night of the year, but keeping your pets safe doesn’t have to be tricky. The ASPCA recommends taking these simple, common sense precautions to keep your pet happy and healthy all the way to November 1. Stash the Treats The candy bowl is for trick-or-treaters, not Scruffy or Fluffy. Several popular Halloween treats are toxic to pets. Chocolate in all formsespecially dark or baking chocolatecan be very dangerous for cats and dogs, and sugar-free ...candies containing the sugar substitute xylitol can cause serious problems in pets. If you suspect your pet has ingested something toxic, please call your veterinarian or the ASPCA Poison Control Center at (888) 426-4435 immediately. Watch the Decorations and Keep Wires Out of Reach While a carved jack-o-lantern certainly is festive, pets can easily knock over a lit pumpkin and start a fire. Curious kittens are especially at risk of getting burned or singed by candle flame. Popular Halloween plants such as pumpkins and decorative corn are considered relatively nontoxic, but can produce stomach discomfort in pets who nibble on them. Be Careful with Costumes For some pets, wearing a costume may cause undue stress. The ASPCA recommends that you don’t put your dog or cat in a costume unless you know he or she loves it. If you do dress up your pet for Halloween, make sure the costume does not limit his or her movement, sight or ability to breathe, bark or meow. Check the costume carefully for small, dangling or easily chewed-off pieces that could present a choking hazard. Ill-fitting outfits can get twisted on external objects or your pet, leading to injury. Be sure to have your pet try on the costume before the big night. If he or she seems distressed or shows abnormal behavior, consider letting your pet wear his or her birthday suit or don a festive bandana instead. Keep Pets Calm and Easily Identifiable Halloween brings a flurry of activity with visitors arriving at the door, and too many strangers can often be scary and stressful for pets. All but the most social dogs and cats should be kept in a separate room away from the front door during peak trick-or-treating hours. While opening the door for guests, be sure that your dog or cat doesn’t dart outside. And always make sure your pet it wearing proper identificationif for any reason he or she does escape, a collar with ID tags and/or a microchip can be a lifesaver for a lost pet. #petsafety #halloweenpetsafety #veterinarian #veterinaryclinic See more

Halloween Safety Tips- Halloween can be a traumatic and even dangerous time for your pets. The ASPCA would like to offer some common-sense tips to help you protect them: Don’t leave your pets out in the yard on Halloween: there are plenty of stories of vicious pranksters who have teased, injured, stolen, even killed pets on this night. Trick-or-treat candies are not for pets: chocolate is poisonous to a lot of animals, and tin foil and cellophane candy wrappers can be ha...zardous if swallowed. Be careful of pets around a lit pumpkin: pets may knock it over and cause a fire. Curious kittens especially run the risk of getting burned. Don’t dress the dog in costume unless you know he loves it. Otherwise, it puts a lot of stress on the animal. If you do dress up your dog, make sure the costume isn’t constricting, annoying or unsafe. Be careful not to obstruct his or her vision; even the sweetest dogs can get snappy when they can’t see what’s going on around them. All but the most social dogs should be kept in a separate room during trick-or-treat visiting hours; too many strangers in strange garb can be scary for a dog. Be careful your cat or dog doesn’t dart out through an open door. While this can be a fun time for people and pets alike, remember that your pets are depending on you to keep them safe from the more dangerous goblins and ghouls that this holiday brings. #petsafety #halloweenpetsafety #halloweensafety #happyhalloween #veterinarian#hellofall #halloween #Pethealth #healthypets #veterinary #veterinaryclinic #northridge #csun #vettech #catsofinstagram #pets #petgrooming #Petspa #antelopevalley #canyoncountry #newhall #lancaster #palmdale #acton #aquadulce #rosamond #petsofinstagram #dogsofinstagram #welovewhatwedo See more
