Here's a preview of the premiere SDUHSD Honor Choir! The choir is comprised of students from CCA, San Dieguito Academy, Torrey Pines, Carmel Valley Middle, and Pacific Trails vocal students, under the direction of Martin Green. Our Honor Band & Concert is tomorrow at 5.30p, at CCA! Admission is FREE

We are excited to announce the first SDUHSD Honor Choir! Auditions will be held this Thursday in the music room at Pacific Trails Middle School, from 3.15-5.30; first come, first served. Students will sing Star Spangled Banner, vocalises to determine range, and sight read a brief excerpt. Rehearsals will be held at PTMS ... Vocal Conservatory students presented their Fall and Senior Recitals this week!

Congratulations to our Vocal Jazz ensemble for their first performance at last weekend's Reno Jazz Festival! Their repertoire included Laura Mvula's Green Garden, arranged by Kerry Marsh, professor of jazz studies at the University of Northern Colorado. Marsh's well-known works have often been performed by CCA's choir and jazz band, and the students were fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in a clinic with him at the festival.
