FCA Central Counties Area Director Ryan Hinckley and team are hosting a bi-weekly Middle School 4 Week Cross Fit Camp starting Saturday, March 13th at Highland Park in Redding. There is no cost or pre-registration required. Parents must be present at registration to complete the requisite participation forms. This is a great opportunity for kids to get outdoors to burn off pent up energy and hear a faith filled devotional message.
Had lunch with Cody Bryan and Brendan Allen, the current and incoming advisors (respectively) for the FCA Huddle at CSU Chico/Butte College. Cody and his family will be launching a new Christian Challenge campus ministry at UC Santa Cruz. Brendan has been active as an FCA volunteer, and will be getting married this summer. We are excited to have a seamless transition in Chico.
UFC Evangelism? It may be a far departure from a Billy Graham Crusade or leaving tracks on the table for your server, but the FCA Huddle at CSU Chico/Butte College has hosted a number of outreach, "Fight Night Parties" (in a responsible, social-distancing manner of course.) FCA Ministry Leader Cody Bryan received word that one of the FCA student leaders connected with a Butte College football player during last weekend's McGregor vs Poirier UFC Fight Night, and scheduled a f...ollow up meeting to share the Gospel. That appointment subsequently ended with the Butte student praying to receive Jesus Christ as his personal savior. Who'd of thought . . . UFC Evangelism? Perhaps the Apostle Paul said it best, "I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some." 1 Cor 9:22b
FCA Area Director Ryan Hinckley had the privilege of baptizing an FCA student leader last month, illustrating God is not stymied by a pandemic. The Waymaker makes a way to advance His Kingdom so that His Son Jesus gets His full reward. May the Lamb who was slain receive the reward of his suffering, Call of the Moravian Missionaries, 1732 A.D.
Dr. King relentlessly pursued his dream of standing for racial equality, love, and justice for all. As we observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day, it’s important to reflect on the messages, guidance, and godly wisdom he left behind. Join us as we celebrate the vision and resilience of Dr. King, the legacy he left behind, and how FCA continues to pursue his dream and embody his principles as Christian coaches and athletes. https://www.bible.com/readin/23795-still-pursuing-the-dream
Week #3 of the Jericho Walks praying for our schools, administrators, staff, students, and FCA Advisors and student leaders. This week includes two middle schools where FCA was poised to launch huddles last Spring before COVID. History tells us revivalist Charles Finney had intercessors go into a city for a couple weeks proceeding his revival meetings. Prayer is indispensable to preparing the way for a move of God. Join us from wherever you find yourself at 7:00am.
