Have you participated in this year’s Census? Did you know that the last time we all did this was 10 years ago and that because of people’s lack of participatio...n and perhaps lack of understanding how important it is, our community lost several millions of dollars that would have helped with food insecurity, fixing our roads, helping schools and so many other programs? Thank you Ron Clary for the following message: Many of us are already aware of the passing of Bobbi Trantafello. Bobbi was a core member of the Canoga Park and... West Hills Community. In addition to being a long time businessperson, she served important positions in the Canoga Park Chamber of Commerce, Canoga Park Community Center Foundation, Woodland Hills Community Theater (West Valley Playhouse), and Main Street Canoga Park, among others. She was a founding member of the Canoga Park Neighborhood Council and the West Hills Neighborhood Council. The offices are important, as is also the fact that she faithfully served in most of those organizations for decades. More important is the love and friendship she provided to her family and friends over generations. Many people knew Bobbi: anyone who worked with her for any time at all felt her warmth and sincere concern for their personal welfare. Even as her illness advanced, she was steadfastly resolved to return to her work and life of service. A woman of true faith, she has finally been rewarded with her rest. And our grateful community says "Thanks!" Bobbi’s family and friends are planning a community /memorial service to be held October 3rd on the playing field at West Valley Community Church 22450 Sherman Way, West Hills, CA 91307. To assure cooler weather, the service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Due to the size of the field, social distancing will be no problem, and of course, protective masks are requested.
