But after being told " YOU GOT THIS, YOU'RE WHAT WE NEED HERE" I gave it another shot. I have to say, I am so glad that I was talked into staying and working through my struggles because meeting and being a part of the students lives that I have taught and come into contact with, has blessed my soul like never before. To be apart of the sta...rt of a person's medical career path is indescribable. Not only have I taught them something I have also learned something from them as well. To see the brightness in their eyes when they excel in their work, tests, quizzes, or answering questions is EVERYTHING to me. To not always know the struggles the students are going through outside of school and to see them do their absolute best is priceless. And the same with those who almost quit but were told "YOU CAN DO THIS" and they finish the program, graduate, and gain employment is an indescribable feeling as well. May is Blood Pressure Education Month. Many people don’t even know they have high blood pressure. Symptoms of hypertension often go unnoticed and if left uncontrolled the risk of heart problems such as stroke or heart attack increase. During May, have your blood pressure checked. As I reflect through my ten years at Cambridge Junior College, I have tried to make a difference in the lives of as many students that I could. Becoming an instructor let me impart life lessons that my students hopefully will never forget and puts me in a position to influence their decisions, behaviors, strengths, weaknesses and imaginations. These are the relationships I most enjoy about teaching. I love interacting with the students, I love learning from them, and love he...lping them understand the content of any course and love when they see the connection between what they are learning and their lives. Sharing my knowledge with others is very rewarding. I love teaching because every single day I make a difference in someone’s life which goes far beyond knowledge. I work to inspire, support, mentor and get the chance to discover and share some of the best part of myself. As an instructor I follow a high-quality academic and rigorous instructional program. Here at Cambridge Junior College we are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and teaching tools, such as white boards in every classroom, projectors, computer labs, and along with other staff and faculty that show genuine love and respect to each student.
