Hello fellow community members! California State University, Long Beach’s Cambodian Student Society (CSS) in collaboration with the Cambodian Awareness Organization (CAO) at the University of California, Irvine, would like to cordially invite you to this year’s 15th Annual Khmer Student Coalition Conference (KSCC). Background: KSCC was created in 2004 to connect, unite, and empower Cambodian students across the nation. This conference serves as a platform for our community t...o continuously add to the discourse surrounding the Khmer Rouge. Every year, we offer various workshops encompassing history, culture, and identity hosted by Khmer American community leaders. Going Beyond Survival is the theme for this year’s KSCC, which would include the topics of feminism, intersectionality, and education. The conference will be held at California State University, Long Beach on Saturday, November 23rd from 8AM-8PM. We would love to have your support in making this conference happen. Any donation made by any businesses/orgs will be represented onto our event t-shirts as well as our pamphlets.
