We will be sending out a mass email to all the students tomorrow. If we do not have your email please contact me at [email protected] You can also search for CJJ Affiliation on Facebook and keep in contact as well. Camarillo Jiu Jitsu will be closed Tuesday, March 17, 2020 through Sunday, March 29, 2020. We hope to have class back in session on Monday, March 30, 2020. Daniel and I tried to wait it out until the last minute to make this decision. It was a difficult one to make, but we know that the health of our members is most important. The schedule above is tentative. We will stay well informed to make the best decisions for our business and our gym family. With gym family in mind, we... know that you don’t want to stop your training. For those of you on Facebook, please like/join the page CJJ AFFILIATION. It was initially a coach’s only forum page, but in light of current events we have opened it to Camarillo JJ members and affiliates. The page contains lessons and techniques. Dan will be updating it accordingly. Parents, we encourage you to also get on the CJJ Affiliation page. Let your kids try the drills and techniques. Have them write down the coach’s name who taught and any questions they may have on a piece of paper. Maybe keep a journal so we can address any questions they may have the next time we see them. We appreciate your support and understanding through this time of uncertainty. We wish your family wellness and safety. Until then, use the FB page to drill, drill, drill and stay sharp. Should you have any further inquiries or concerns, please contact Dan 661.201.3346. We’ll see you soon. Lovey Camarillo

UPDATE: As of March 11, 2020: this event has been cancelled. Below is the original post content 3/10/20. For those of you registered for Ibjjf Pan Jiu Jitsu Championship, Dan will be there to coach.... Expressed concerns about the COVID-19 has been addressed by IBJJF below. "Pan IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship March 18th*, 19th, 20th, 21st & 22nd, 2020 IBJJF will follow all guidelines and protocols issued by the CDC and public health departments. The California Department of Public Health and the Orange County Health Care Agency have not recommended the cancellation of public events. The health risk from COVID-19 to the general public remains low at this time. But If you are concerned and would like to withdraw from the tournament, you may email us at [email protected] up until Friday, March 13th, and we will be able to remove your name from the event and issue a refund for the tournament registration fee. As we continue to monitor developments of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we would like to remind you of important information resources and suggested safety measures everyone can follow. Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. Stay home when you are sick. Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe. Follow CDC’s recommendations for using a facemask. CDC does not recommend that people who are well wear a facemask to protect themselves from respiratory diseases, including COVID-19. Facemasks should be used by people who show symptoms of COVID-19 to help prevent the spread of the disease to others. The use of facemasks is also crucial for health workers and people who are taking care of someone in close settings (at home or in a health care facility). Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty. You can find these precautions and further information on the CDC website at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html
