Today, March 24 is #EqualPayDay. #EqualPayDay2021 shows how far into the next year that the average woman must work to earn what white, non-Hispanic men earned in 2020. That means for every dollar a White, non-Hispanic man makes, women, on average, only earn 82 cents. That means if you look at a typical 9:00-5:00 work day, women start working for free at 2:40 p.m. Unite to support equal pay for women attorneys and ALL women in the workforce and closing the pay gap! #EqualPayDay #EqualPayDay2021 #CWL #CaliforniaWomenLawyers * Statistics are based on all U.S. women compared to all U.S. men based on 2019 U.S. Census data. The wage gap by demographic varies.

We are thrilled to see Justice Martin Jenkins nominated to the California Supreme Court. Justice Jenkins has been a friend and ally in our fight for diversity on the bench, and while his time as Judicial Appointments Secretary was brief, he made a big impact.
