Okay everyone, last shoot until fall. If you’ve never shot at night this is a shoot you don’t want to miss. If you made it to our last night shoot, you know how awesome it is. The raffle tickets are almost sold, so we will for sure do the raffle this shoot. Sorry for the short notice!

The weather is looking perfect for the shoot on Sunday! I hope to see you all there!

Josh Roberts would like a head count for taco’s at the next shoot on Sunday the 28th. The meal will consist of two tacos shredded beef or ground hamburger, we will have all the toppings to put on them.. A bag of chips and a soda for $10 but it will probably turn into all you can eat tacos because after everybody gets there 2 we will eat them until they’re gone. Let us know how many meals in your party.. if you see this poll on the private Facebook page please only tell us once. Thank you!

Did some testing on the performance of the 127 grain Barnes LRX at 570 yards today.. this was at maybe 200 feet elevation on the valley floor, The temperature was 77 my target was a 3 gallon water jug with a half inch sheet of particleboard in the front and two large Cabela’s catalogs in the back.. results were impressive! At only 1775 FPS and 889 foot pounds of energy at that distance it had enough shock to explode the jug and fully penetrate one catalog and dent the second one pretty good! The water immediately drained out so my second shot was minus the water in the jug and it penetrated both books and I was never able to recover the slug but exit was pretty big so I can assume it expanded as well.

Up shooting today.. 900 yards 6.5 CM 127 grain LRX went through this small stick and then into soft dirt never expanding.. no Energy left at that distance. That is why I do not recommend a 6.5 Creedmoor for long range hunting, lead would do a lot better though

It works out better for almost everybody, plus there is no chance of rain so far on the 17th.. we are moving the shoot to Sunday March 17th! Sorry if the move inconvenienced anybody but we feel we will have a much better turnout on the 17th.

Ok guys, we have 40% chance of rain on this Sunday the 10th.. Sunday the 17th so far has sunny skies on my weather app. I want to do a poll, should we move the shoot to the 17th or leave it on the 10th and hope for the best?? I’m going to put this on the other page also but only vote once please. But if there are 2 in your party say 2 votes for what date you want.

Hey everyone, the shoot has been canceled. It’s been foggy till at least 11 every day this week. The rain will make it worse for tomorrow. Sorry everyone who planned to come. What date would everyone like to reschedule for?

Hello everyone that plans to come to the shoot this Saturday, we MIGHT have to cancel. It is supposed to rain Friday, so Saturday the fog might be too thick to shoot. The fog has already been bad and not lifting till later in the day. So just a warning for everybody. I will post Thursday night or early Friday morning wether it is canceled or not.
