Farmers and ranchers! Tomorrow is the last day we are able to start applications and assist you in accessing SBA’s Paycheck Protection Program aka PPP Loans. Last year FarmLink made 112 of these forgivable loans totaling nearly $2.4 million. The federal rules have changed to benefit farmers who are sole proprietors with no employees. If you received a PPP loan last year and want more, you will have to demonstrate a 25% reduction in gross revenue in 2020 as compared to 2019. We have assembled resources for you to learn about PPP, but act soon to enable us to process your request. Click the link below for more information. https://www.californiafarmlink.org/lo/loan-types-and-terms/

Thank you, Rep. Jimmy Panetta, for the time you invested in learning more about the ways we've been able to deliver federal COVID relief programs for farmers of color and next-generation farmers in the Monterey Bay region and beyond. And while it was a serious discussion, clearly we had a good time connecting with you! #covidrelief #covidrecovery #farmersofcolor... #nextgenerationfarmers #grateful See more

Marsha Habib of Oya Organics has joined the California FarmLink Board of Directors! We value farmers’ perspectives and that’s especially important for the organization's governance. We are truly grateful for her volunteer service. Marsha’s parents immigrated to the United States as young adults, and she is a first-generation farmer in this country. She started her own business, Oya Organics, on one acre of subleased land in Hollister, and now farms mixed vegetables on 20 acres near Hollister. Thank you, Marsha!
