Alpharaoh, an #actor, writer, solo performer and #artivist from Los Angeles #California, is one of 85 #Dreamers who will participate in the #CMDWinter2020 #DreamersStudyAbroad Program. He was born in #Guatemala and came to the U.S. when he was 3 months old. He describes how the #DACA program impacted his life; It gave him the ability to become a professional artist and provide for his family. He also shares how #AdvanceParole allowed him to meet his ailing grandfather in 2017..., before his grandfather passed away shortly after his visit. He knows the importance of DACA and Advance Parole and wants other DACA recipients to have the same opportunity to travel abroad to their home country. Checkout his show #WetADACAmentedJourney and #AlpharaohFilm a short documentary about his life and show. Support our National Campaign to Restore DACA's Advance Parole! Zenaida, a restaurant manager from Bakersfield #California, is one of 85 #DACA recipients participating in the #CMDWinter2020 #DreamersStudyAbroad Program. To her, securing an #AdvanceParole travel permit is a life-changing opportunity. It will give her the chance to travel to Mexico and study important U.S.-Mexico national security topics and the history of international relationships between the two countries that are dear to her heart. She will also be able to reunite with... family members she has not seen in over 20 years, and visit her grandfather’s graveyard, who passed away last year. She urges U.S. Senator Kamala Harris to advocate for the #USCIS approval of her Advance Parole application. Support our National Campaign to Restore DACA's Advance Parole! At first, Angelica Guzman was taken aback by some of the replies she got when she made calls about the election. "I'm too busy to vote," one person told her. "I just don't think my vote will count," another said.... Now Guzman is ready with a response: "I'm somebody who can't vote. And your vote counts for me." http://www.california-mexicocenter.org/theyre-not-allowed-/
