Art in the Making 22.01.2021

Project 365 Day 76. I’m loving the vibrancy of this piece. The yellow-green watercolors seem to make the red-violet pastel lines jump off the page.

Project 365 Day 79. My inner seven year old is wide awake and ready to play! I started with a bright orange base and continued to build short strokes of different colors. For visual interest, I added metallic paint pen throughout.

Project 365 Day 75. Today I discovered another way to clean up my oil pastel lines. I try to be careful to not get the watercolors on the pastels, but art is messy. That’s why it’s fun. Project 365 Day 74. Continuing with the simple lines and shapes with the oil pastels and the brightness of the watercolors today. The difference is the contrast of the colors. Complementary colors do just that, complement or complete one another.

Project 365 Day 73. Feeling blue today, but in the most comforting way.

Project 365 Day 72. I am meticulous. I am detail oriented. I don’t see it as perfectionism. What I create is a piece of me. I want the world to see my personal best. My best is never perfect. But, if I can clean up an edge here and soften a corner there, I will.
