Learn more about the impactful work undertaken by Gail Soffer, the Executive Director of the Mindful Veteran Project who led Into the Underworld and Back Women’s Stories of Making Their Way Back from Death and Darkness (sparked by versions of the Orpheus & Eurydice story). Supported by a Humanities for All Quick Grant, the project presented a series of workshops that invited women of all ages and backgrounds to read, view, and discuss various reinterpretations of Orpheus and Eurydice’s myth. https://bit.ly/33cjEA8 #PublicHumanities #HumanitiesforAll #Veterans Image: Courtesy of Mindful Veteran Project

Did you know that, for the remainder of this year, any gift you make is eligible for a 100% tax deduction under the CARES Act legislation? The CARES Act allows individual taxpayers to deduct donations to a charity of up to $300 on their 2020 federal tax return, even though they take the standard deduction. Your gift to California Humanities helps support projects that offer new ideas, fresh perspectives, and inspire Californians to work together for a better future. Donate today! http://bit.ly/calhum-give Image: Courtesy of California Humanities
