HOT ALERT! If you like spicy tuna, highly recommend trying our Dynamite Roll. Tuna, Green Onion, Sesame Oil, and Shichimi (Japanese 7 chili pepper spice). You can really taste the freshness of the tuna and the shichimi spice gives it a totally different kick.

Sushi + Sunsets

Ever wondered what that delicious slightly-spicy-slightly-salty-but-refreshing topping on our sea bream is? That is yuzu kosho! It's made by combining yuzu (a small, yellow Japanese citrus), chiles, and salt into a delicious paste and drops a flavor bomb unlike anything else on everything it touches. It's one of the reasons why so many people love our sea bream sushi!

#TBT - Throwing it back to our old restaurant in Monterey that we owned and ran for 26 amazing years before moving down to SoCal. We have so many good memories from those days but we're loving making new memories here with you all at cafe/SAKANA. Thank you for continuing to support us!
