Dear Friends, There is an old saying..How do you make a small fortune in the restaurant business? You start with a really, really large fortune. Sad to say, that has been the truth, for me at least. Due to rapid and drastic rent increases as well as so many unfortunate circumstances, I find my only course of action is to pass the reins to the next cowboy. They say the only thing consistent in life is change. While sometimes scary, I believe in the big plan. Things have ...a way of working themselves out. I guess time will tell. My thoughts. I put my money where my mouth was. I put my employees first and did all I could to have their back. They were so worth the effort. I have learned a lot here. Under my circumstances it was a tremendous amount to learn and wrap my arms around. While all this seems sad, it is not. I felt Carmel needed their place. A place for friends. A place for fun. Sometime we take ourselves too seriously. Sometime stress and worry becomes who we are, we forget how to really have fun, celebrate life. Unacceptable in my books. I, my staff, you, we all became us here at Jack London’s. For the last six years, I have been honored to have met and became friends with the very finest people God ever made. My wonderful staff has humbled me with their efforts and heart. More than proud to say they became my family. We built a live music venue THAT IS UNBELIEVABLE! Casey Frazier, Brett Barrows (to name just a few). Thank you from the bottom of my heart, you have become the best times of my life. I love you both to my core. If someone were to ask me what I was trying to accomplish while I owned Jack’s. I would say I wanted you to be so satisfied and happy you were hugging yourself on the way out. You deserve that and more, your special, you are worth it. And for me.? I am so Blessed. Three sons (Two Grandsons) and my Girl Kim. I am so crazy about them I can’t see straight. All if ever wanted. All I needed. Years ago I had a customer in New York that said something I will never forget. What he said applies to every one of you. As he shook my hand he looked directly into my eyes and said these words..Friends for Life. This is meant for you. Live your life everyday as if it’s your last. Keep your heart wide open. Put energy into doing the right thing every time, best you can and know we are great friends. Thanks for everything. See more
