After much deliberation, we have decided to take a short break for two weeks starting January 4th. In that time we would like our staff to recuperate and focus on themselves and loved ones. We hit the ground running from the start and have been surviving hurdle after hurdle. It’s been quite a wild ride to say the least. If I take a step back to reflect, I'm so proud and grateful to our BA staff and all of you for pushing through and being with me every step of the way. I'm sure you've heard this plenty but it never hurts to hear: thank you SO much from the bottom of our hearts to each and every one of you for your warm love and support. For being there for us through thick and thin. We are looking forward to greeting you all back with even bigger, well-rested smiles. To my beloved family, I’m gonna throw it way back for #TBT: Pictured here is me sitting at that communal table (a favorite of many of yours) two years ago.What you don’t see is the flurry of emotions I was feeling. I was so excited, wary, and anxious, all mixed with uncertainty and anticipation moments before our very first day of operation.... As you may have heard already, we’re turning two this weekend (Is it just me or is time flying by even faster lately?) and it has put me in a mood to reflect and reminisce. It all started with a humble dream and passion to bring unique, quality pastries and coffee to the people in our lovely community.This dream of mine was all that I had and needed to drive forward.It took three years of thought and preparation (blood, sweat, tears, you name it!) to turn my dreams into a reality, but those three years pale in comparison to these last two of operation.I don’t know where all the time went, but all I can say is that I held onto this dream like a dog with a bone! I refused to give up. It’s been a tumultuous ride to say the least. There were setbacks just moments before opening, org changes... oh, and you can’t forget: Covid happened.To be completely honest, there were moments where we could’ve given up but we pushed through.In fact, we came out even stronger, all thanks to my wonderful staff and all of you.My stellar team for the never-ending hard work and dedication in supporting my vision, and of course, each and every one of you who became my family.We’re ready to take on whatever life throws at us next! All this to say, thank you to old and new friends, for your constant support, love, and compassion.It’s quite the honor to not only be able to share my dreams with all of you, but have you actually be a part of it.Whether we experience moments of joy, success, failure, sorrow, we will never forget our core values. UPDATE: Guess who's coming back! We're excited to announce our reopening next Friday, 6/5 on National Donut Day!! During our closure, we've been working tirelessly to improve our internal production flow and have decided to limit our days of opening to Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. We've decided this is the most suitable for us, given the current state of affairs. Not only does this allow us to fully focus on prepping for production throughout the week, we'll be ready to go all out on weekends. This means increased productivity and (even higher) quality for you all Online preorders will go live on Monday, 6/1. Thanks for being patient with us and we can't wait to see you again!

Dear Bun Appétit family, we will be closing temporarily effective Saturday, May 16th. Due to necessary internal org reevaluation, we will be taking a step back to strategize how to bounce back stronger and better than ever. We tried our best to always be nimble and ready to adapt to change, but sometimes life keeps throwing curve balls. When faced with challenge, one can either give up or overcome them. We believe this is a necessary step to sustaining our business long term! Growing pains, as some would say. You can look forward to an even better, improved Bun Appétit!
