Hi everyone. Thanks for following Buellton Medical Center. And as we promised from our last post, we have more exciting news. DR. DIANA FRANCO will be joining us starting this week. She is a Family Practice Physician who has been working locally and will now be part of our team. We are all very excited to have her here with us. As a Family Practice Physician, she is open to seeing everyone. As an added bonus for our community, Dr. Franco also speaks Spanish. As Dr. Franco ...joins our crew, along with Beth Simmons, NP starting her third week with us, (and has an excellent background in Women's Health issues); we are here to take care of all of your health care needs. . Colleen Cianciarulo, PNP, continues with our pediatric population to keep health and wellness visits current along with immunizations. Sherrie Gibbs, FNP , Myra Howard, FNP and Dr. Madhup Joshi, MD round out our Family Practice team. We offer counseling with Lois Craig, LPCC and Carlin Sundell APCC. We are doing visits via the internet, but remember, some issues are best seen and dealt with in person. Just as a reminder, we continue to promote being a safe haven for this community. We require masks during your visit and request those with fever, loss of taste and other Covid related symptoms, to please contact our staff before coming in. You may be directed to another facility. We want to be here for you, no matter what your age, for your physicals, monitor your blood pressure and blood sugars or other diagnosis', be here for orthopedic injuries, take care of our local work comp injures along with any anxiety you may be experiencing, to name a few. We have excellent specialist that work in our area that we do collaborative practice with. Please remember to put your health first, and know we are here for you. As we move into September we have some very exciting news at Buellton Medical Center. We are bringing a new health care provider to the Santa Ynez Valley. Beth Simmons is a Family Nurse Practitioner with a strong background in Women's Health. Beth also has a history at Buellton Medical Center. She finished her training with us before moving to Washington State. Recently, we got a call from her, as her desire was to return to this area. She asked if we had a job for her, we said YES.. and she starts with us September 1st. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, along with Women's health, she will see all ages and can be your Primary Care Provider. We welcome Beth Simmons, FNP, to our team. And as we always say, HEALTH CARE IS FOR EVERYONE. (and stay tuned, we have more exciting news just around the corner!)

WOW! It's the middle of August already. Time marches on no matter what is going on in the world. We want to remind you that we are staying open for all things not related to Covid. We are here for you for most of your medical needs including but not limited to physicals, work and pre-op physicals, minor surgical procedures including biopsies for questionable skin lesions, helping you monitor blood pressure and blood sugars and keep children on their vaccine schedules, to nam...e just a few. Also, for good medical care, if you have not been seen recently, we would like to see you in the office for exam and lab orders in order to renew medication. We also have counselors available to you in these difficult times. We do require face masks and our staff is following all guidelines to continue to make Buellton Medical Center a safe haven for you. We are continuing doing some tele-medicine and for those of you who have been our patients, please sign in to our patient portal. If you are having problems with doing this, please contact our office staff. We will have some exciting new changes for you come September so stay tuned. As we enter the summer months and enjoy July 4th in our own separate ways, we at Buellton Medical Center want to remind you we are here for you . We understand the concern many of you have however we are also concerned about your well being. This is why we continue to be open for most of your health care needs. We are following strict guidelines for our staff and for your safety. Masks are required, rooms are cleaned after each patient, we do tele-medicine when it is appropri...ate and as always, believe Health Care is for Everyone. It has also been 6 months since the passing of Dr. Van Valin. It has been a hard adjustment for many and he has definitely been missed. However, to continue good medical practice, we need to update his patients with one of our providers and this may require an office visit, a review of medication, vital signs and labs, to name a few things. We are also aware that both Dignity Health and Cottage will be opening urgent care facilities in our area. We hope to be able to work with them to provide you a place to go for continuity of care. We are available to work with many of our local specialist and do your ER follow ups. We continue with Work Comp for our local employers. And before we know it, flu season will be here and we will continue to schedule visits to companies as in the past. We may not make the news, but we are your front line workers to address your health care needs. We will do our best to keep our doors open and be here for you. See more
