Question: What can I do at home with my infant and toddler to help them retain their swimming skills during this quarantine? Excellent question, if you have invested time in swimming lessons and are concerned about their skills regressing, try these simple tips for home. Lay them on their back in water....often! While giving them a bath, fill up the tub with just a few inches of water. Deep enough to cover their ears, but shallow enough to still lay on the bottom of the t...ub. Gently pour water over their head, but not over their face. You can slowly add more water, depending on their comfort level. It doesn’t have to be for a prolonged amount of time, and if they become agitated, let them sit up and try again later. You can also play the game in the bath tub, give your toy a swimming turn. Have your toddler teach their toys to swim. Toddlers often have fun in the tub while mimicking their swim lesson, even putting their own face in the water. Always be sure to supervise them while in the bath tub. We will be open for business as soon as it’s safe! Bubbles Swim School would like to inform our parents that as of now, we are remaining open for lessons. We are taking extra precautions to ensure the health and safety of our customers. Effective immediately we are removing all pool toys, closing the play structure and turning off all vending machines. Our staff will also be wiping down all hard surfaces every 30 min, between classes. If you have any question or concerns please feel free to give us a call 619-660-0128.
