Shhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeet. If you show me one more poll, isweartahgodt. This was from the Women’s March in London, January 2017. We needed some time away, to reset after the last election & we thought it would be a good idea to take a family trip when 45 was inaugurated. While feeling the solidarity & love was brilliant... I do not want to march anymore. I want to spend my energy towards pushing our government to do more to take huge steps forward, not to demand they don’t backtr...ack to argue over laws that have been maintained again & again. I believe in progress, so yes that makes me Progressive. I don’t believe in staying in the same place. Personally, I have pushed my body & mind to that point of exhaustion-when you feel like you’re going to vomit... working to keep our family sane, our business afloat & act as engaged citizens in this Democracy. I’m just a Mom of 3 and I have put more plans in place to keep calm and carry on than 45. We all have! It feels like we’re doing all the work right now- especially Moms. The gaslighting has never been so absurdly brazen. I’m not a far-lefty whozy-whatsit and neither are you for believing that everyone should be treated equally, regardless of gender, skintone, where you were born, &/or who you like to get down with. No one should be living in poverty in America. Everyone, (EVERYONE!) should have access to quality healthcare, education and aid from the government to help our nation through this global pandemic. These fundamental rights- like you need them to live, they are Pro Life. We might not be able to come together as one nation, but I’m hoping there are enough of us willing to come together for a movement. This is about more than social policy, this is literally life & death. We all deserve to go after our dreams or just continue living them (high five to you!) So fuuuuck, Make a really plan to vote. Now that you’ve registered. What day, what time? Do you have someone to stay with your kids? Are you going to vote-by-mail? Did you have someone look it over? Did you include all the pieces of paper? Filling out a provisional ballot for dropoff at the polling center or a drop box? WTF is your plan to #VOTE?!?!!

First Go Balance Bikes have landed stateside! Banwood’s co-founders, Juan Manuel Torralvo Castro and Frida Jonsby, met in Germany, the home of quality, safety and sound design, and discovered that Frida’s eye for design and Juan’s family history of manufacturing coalesced perfectly. The bikes are influenced by Scandinavian design, with an emphasis on simplicity, minimalism and functionality. Underpinning the design process is a passion for creating the finest first bikes fo...r kids, as safe as they are timeless, and ones that will instil a love of cycling from a young age. Frida and Juan believe that whilst time has changed the way children play, the way they learn and develop remains fundamentally the same. Their goal is to recreate the magic of how children used to play, by encouraging toddlers to be active and supporting their growth in a fun way, all the while creating happy childhood memories. Whether it is a bike ride to the park or becoming the next star of Tour de France - Banwood aims to motivate youngsters to acquire a love of cycling. In shops & shipping nationwide. So proud to welcome @banwoodbikes to our shops! #broomestfamily #bestinclassgoods

#fbf While there are mixed feeling out there about the latest headlines, I’m saddened that our country has devolved into wondering whether this is real. Like, is this how much they wanted to kill the Melania x-mas tapes? I too want some receipts, but the truth is, while many of us may be googling the 25th amendment right now, we cannot forget that 207,699 Americans have died as a direct result of our country’s lack of response or plan for Covid-19. Our country is weaker for h...aving lost those lives unnecessarily. Weaker for those grieving the loss of loved ones. It is the most devastating loss our country has experienced as a direct result of this administrations’s impotence. They cannot protect the highest officials of government & this has made our country vulnerable in countless ways does this really serve & protect The American People? The losses extend to small, beloved businesses in our communities. People have lost their homes & livelihoods. Every week it seems we need to pivot yet again as parents, as entrepreneurs, as citizens. But we’ve never really lost Hope. We kept going & we need to keep going. Don’t let this latest distraction derail you. I’ve been thinking a lot about Abel Mutai, a Kenyan Olympic medalist, competing in the Berlin Marathon who stopped running bc he thought he had already crossed the finish line. Ivan Fernandez Anaya, the Spanish runner in 2nd place realized what was happening & instead of taking him over, he told Abel to keep running towards victory. Later when asked why he did that the Spaniard replied, What would my Mom think of that? So, here’s the thing: we don’t have this type of morality from the other side. I wish we did, but pretty sure it’s not in the guide to white supremacy... So enjoy all the memes, but keep running. We still need to flip the Senate, we still need to get as many friends & family to have a plan to vote. We still need to Hope, & turn Hope into action to save Democracy on Election Day, in 32 days. Bless. #familycoffeefreedom #hope

Self-care tings and popping light at our pop-up @platform_la. I’ve been seeing a lot of posts and have been talking to friends about the anxiety about the upcoming election. There’s a lot of time being spent staring at walls, aimlessly scrolling to soothe... eating/drinking. All fine. Do you. Do YOU. I’ve added an extra shower for myself to the week (yippee!), and started back on my pre-covid skincare. I think it’s helping... I still feel guilty about how much time it takes,... but idk, maybe a little more productive to take care of yourselves than stew in anger and let a white supremacist numb you into paralysis. You need the rest to prepare you for all the action I know all of you are taking! All of us... No gender, no age- we all need self-care, now more than ever. Election Day is just the climax of the story... there will be days, weeks of exhausting vitriol like we’ve never seen. Be as kind as you can to one another, check in with friends & family and make sure you all have a plan to save democracy. #familycoffeefreedom #votebluenomatterwho #votesavedemoccracy

Join me in wishing my brother @miscellaneousbrown a very Happy Birthday today! My brother Erick has always been there to help me through anything he literally helped us build @broomestgeneral For our first 5 years, he worked for us while putting his dreams of acting & stand-up comedy on the back-burner. He saved my wedding from the disaster it was... and since we re-opened after quarantine, he’s been volunteering twice a week at the shop to help keep us afloat. I have sure...ly not done this alone and needless to say, I’m truly indebted to him. I’m so proud of the work he has been doing this election season with @filamsforbiden to Get Out the Vote! He is a political science genius and has really found his voice this year sharing all the things to change hearts & minds in the Fil-Am Community! There are 10 episodes to get you fired up- check them out! For the last year I made him say that he was 44 and 12+ months bc we just don’t like the number 45 in our family but today, he turns 46! Aren’t we all ready to move on to 46!? #happybirthday #broomestfamily #familycoffeefreedom

In 35 days, walking to the polls like... Missed #nationalsonsday... welp! Our excuse is that there is so much to keep up with these days. Signing into schoology botsybit, seesaw mcjibledyness, epic-ly repicly, shutterfly-my-oh-my, with a different password & username for each app and child, so....... Oh and there’s running a biz, doing our part to flatten the curve (yes it’s still a thing!) & doing the little we can to save democracy so that these precious brown boys can grow up to be whoever they want with the same rights as everyone else. #familycoffeefreedom #broomestfamily #broomestinpuglia #broomestinitaly #vote
