Brookside School PTSA 23.12.2020

Hello Bobcat K-6 Families, This is Mrs. Bender with your weekly updates. Happy New Year, Bobcats! School resumes on Monday, January 4th (Distance Learning). Do your best to help your child prepare for the upcoming week. Students should gather their materials (workbooks, packets, paper etc.), restart Chromebooks to ensure that updates happen and charge devices. We have a tentative date to return to in-person school in a hybrid model in late January. That date may change due to... the rising COVID cases in our county keeping us in the purple tier and the current regional stay at home order. You can read more about the plan to return to in-person school on our district website at www.lusd.net. I will keep you updated with any changes as I receive the information. If you have any questions, you can e-mail me or call the office at (209) 953-8642. Thank you and Goooooooooooo Bobcats!

Hello K-6 Bobcat Families, This Mrs. Bender with your weekly updates. We hope you enjoyed that extra hour of sleep this past weekend as Daylight Savings ended and we moved our clocks back 1 hour. Tomorrow is November 3rd - Election Day! If your child has not done so already, please encourage him/her to cast their vote. They may do so by turning in their official Brookside School ballot into the office OR by voting online: https://forms.gle/mLCCZbRGnJDpYaVw6... Picture day photos are ready to be viewed on https://www.shoobphoto.com/. You can type in your child's name and ID number to view their photo and order if you have not had the opportunity. We will be scheduling a make up day for those students who were unable to attend picture day. Common Sense Media is a wonderful resource for both educators and families. They have movie and book reviews along with other information pertinent to internet safety. There is a parent resource page that has information about cell phones, social media, screen time, privacy and online safety and so much more. You can find those resources here: https://www.commonsensemedia.org/parent-concerns If you have any questions, you can e-mail me ([email protected]) or call the office at (209) 953-8642. Thank you and Goooooooooooo Bobcats!
