Our Creative Arts program was underway Thursday afternoon. The ladies were diligently working on their wood craft. We’ll see what’s to come for December.

Meet Mrs. Thompson, she has been gracious enough to lend her beautiful voice in singing Happy Birthday to all our residents on their birthday. She enjoys doing so and follows up regularly to know whose birthday it is. We treated her to a special cake and thanked her for her special assistance and wished her all the best. Thank you, Mrs. Thompson for accompanying us for the birthday singing.

With so many veterans in our community, we are honored to introduce more today. Thank you for your service, we are grateful for all that you have done for our freedom.

We are grateful for the service of our veterans. Here are some more proud Vets, such as Mr. Ida wearing his Army, 2nd Infantry Division cap. He served in the Korean War and joked that he and his service members were the frozen chosen during his time in combat.

We want to give thanks to our veterans of our community for their military service and friendship.

Mrs. Cochran enjoys decorating her front door for every season for the spirit of the events and holidays observed every month. This was her latest display for the summer. She is in preparation for the fall and will soon present her decorations as well as other residents who look forward to the holidays.

Happy Birthday to Mrs. Paschke, Mrs. Quimette, Mrs. Freshley, Mrs. Sly, and Mrs. Turner who celebrated their special day this past week. One little candle and a birthday wish can make someone’s day much brighter. We have more to share this month.

Kay Case has been motivated to create more artwork. She was happy to see her art on display along with other residents’ exhibits. She surprised us with her talent and we are delighted to see her continue to work on more.

Happy Labor Day to all those who have made contributions to our nation's workforce -- both past and present!

Today we celebrated our long time resident, Irma Watt, 100th birthday. Irma has a good sense of humor and acted surprised to see her age on the card. We sang happy birthday and presented her with cake and a special card. The mayor of Whittier, Joe Vinatieri, sent a certificate of commendation addressing Irma’s milestone. It's our honor to serve Irma Watt and thank you mayor for making Irma’s birthday extra special.
