So this is what happens in when Salons break the lockdown

According to the most recent contact tracing data- 75% of covid spread occurs in households, 8% in medical facilities, 2% on college campuses. Over 85% of covid infections occur outside of highly regulated businesses. Only 0.14% of spread is attributed to salons! Yet, Newsom’s solution to combatting covid is to shut down salons, while leaving all retail open, which is responsible for a higher % of covid cases. Over 3 weeks ago, LA county shut down restaurants for indo...or and outdoor dining. More than 2 weeks ago, the state of CA shut down salons. Yet, cases are still rising, even faster than before. Why? Because over 85% of the spread has nothing to do with businesses. No surprise that Newsom’s shutdown hasn’t worked. Here’s another way to look at itthe businesses that Newsom did shut down (restaurants and bars, partially, and salons completely) are only responsible for 1.5% of covid infections. Yet their closure will put over 1 million people into poverty. Nearly every other state has kept salons open. Look at Colorado. Never shut salons a second time, much less a third time. Their cases spiked along with everyone else’s and are now going down quickly.all while salons are open Yet Newsom sees cases rising...panics...closes businesses responsible for only 1.5% of cases, doesn’t see the empirical evidence that it doesn’t make sense by looking at all the other states’ actions since June (plus data and science) and continues to think that closing salons is the answer to making cases go down.
