One more target bale is being replaced by using the new custom made bale press and carted into place with the custom made bale trailer . This one replaces the 45 yard target bale on the practice range. Got it done right before the rain made the area too slick. Great job guys!! The range is open for walking in. Members should not drive into the range until further notice. Covid19 precautions apply. Stay safe and healthy. OH, and your donations are needed and appreciated.

Good bye 2020 (and good riddance). The Briones Archery Club members did make the most of our down time during this past year. The range has never gotten so much attention. 15 old carpet bales have been replaced. This was accomplished through the dedication of members showing up for work parties, cutting carpet, pressing and banding bales, pasting targets, raking pathways, clearing debris, mowing grass (fixing the mower) and sometimes shooting our bows!! 2021 WILL be a bette...r year. We are hopeful that we can put on some organized shoots for members and the public. Covid19 safe guidelines will apply, but if golfers can golf then we should be able to find a way to host some shoots. We are working on it. A big thank you to all the archers who donated to our range this year. You kept the range going. HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you that contributed. Be Covid19 safe and stay healthy. See at the range!! Winter weather is here, so the targets at the practice area have been replaced with rain resistant burlap targets. Much of the lower course targets have nylon targets custom made by President Jeff. These worked out very well last year during the rainy season. Green grass is starting to show and many new bales have been installed. The range is in great shape!! Come and enjoy!! Members must wait at least three days after a rain before driving into the range. Be safe and healthy, we are all hoping for a better 2021. OH, and your donations are needed and appreciated. Happy New Year

Another target bale was constructed by Kirk with some help from Jeff. Target # 42 is ready for shooting on the upper range. The road is open for members to drive in and the weather is looking good for the next few days. The public is welcome to walk in and enjoy the range. You had better take advantage as rain is forecast for next weekend. Happy holidays to everyone!! Stay safe and healthy!! OH, and your donations are needed and appreciated.

CANCELED. Unfortunately we got too much rain on the road to the range to drive in. The work party and club member shoot for this weekend is canceled. Members and public are still allowed to walk in and enjoy the range. Be safe and stay healthy.

The bad news is that the EBRPD has closed all access to the park due to high temperatures and fire danger. The closure may last until the weather changes and the humidity increases. We will update you all when the park is open or you may call (888) 327-2757 for park information. Stay safe and healthy.

Another successful work party with 11 club members working together to beautify our range!! Two new target bales were built to replace shot out bales and two more were turned to further their use. Shooting lanes were cleared, pathways were raked and new paper targets were pasted and posted!! The next day was Score Shoot Sunday and 12 archers enjoyed shooting at the new targets . Several 3-D targets were put out for members to do some pre season practice. A good time was ha...d by all both days. Social distancing and Covid19 protections were practiced. Public visitors have been enjoying the range and some have been generous with donations to keep the range going. This year has been difficult financially due to the fact that we have not been able to host revenue generating events. Your donations are needed now more than ever. Let’s keep the range open!! Thank you. Be safe and stay healthy. See more

The Briones Archery Club had a successful work party. Bale bases were painted, carpet was cut, weeds got whacked, pathways were mowed and raked. Also, three hearty men built two target bales. The next day new members learned how to shoot and score the range according to NFAA rules. THAT’S what I would call a great weekend!! Be safe and healthy.
