Brigid's Well Center 05.04.2021

Brigid’s Well started in 2017 and little did we know that we would be dealing with wildfires and their fallout every year! Today it was nice and clean and cool in the yurt with AC and lots of chia seed water! I blended a cold infusion of marshmallow root and mixed it with chia seeds and lemon. A delicious way to stay hydrated and protect your mucous membranes. On the table was fresh rose water for spritzing , lemon balm elixir for calming yummy vibes and rescue remedy for anyone feeling particularly anxious about the smoke in the air and evacuation warnings. We continue to adapt and nurture resilience in this space for all the families who come here and co-create with us! #comadresmidwifery #brigidswellcenter #fireseason2020 #resiliency #naturalremedies #midwiferycare #findingmagic #beingmagic #hydration #cocreation #love

What does your prenatal care look like? At Brigid’s Well today it was beyond hot so we had prenatals under the Japanese maple with lemon balm infused ice water and fresh strawberries. We talked for 75 mins and then had the prenatal check in the yurt. If you’ve always wondered what it would be like to have truly nourishing , attentive prenatal care, look no further. #comadresmidwifery #naturalspaces #cocreativecare #nourishment #youdeservetobelistenedtoo

It’s been a whole since we’ve posted from Brigid’s Well. We’ve been quieter since our world has gone topsy turvy. We miss hosting groups but still are making tea for our pregnant one on one clients especially on rainy days like today. Today’s blend is nettles, lemon verbena, chamomile and rose hips. Nourishing, calming and enlivening. What’s in your cup today? #brigidswell #medicinaltea #oneonone #comadresmidwifery #careinthetimeofcorona

Perinatal Wellness in the time of Corona Part 1 Call the Midwife Available Practice listening to your intuition, your inner voice; ask questions; be curious; see what you see; hear what you hear; and then act upon what you know to be true."... Clarissa Pinkola Estés This is a strange and wild time. We need to dig more deeply than ever to resource ourselves, stay connected to the earth, one another and the cultivation of our capacity to respond when everything around us is begging us to react. I am drinking a strong homemade brew of fresh ginger, turmeric, jalapeno, lemon juice and zest, garlic, rosemary, parsley and freshly dried nettles infused in organic chicken broth as I write to you. I know for myself that making these types of food as medicine, folk remedies have been a daily practice that is nourishing my body, quieting my mind and calming my nervous system. The needs we have during pregnancy, birth and postpartum do not stop in a global crisis. They often become more acute. As a licensed and primary healthcare provider of over fifteen years, I have come to love offering many of my services online. This provides greater access for people and, while never can it replace in person care, is part of how we can develop greater resiliency in these times. The online services I offer range from basic reproductive health and wellness consultations to miscarriage support and guidance to pregnancy options and care to homebirth consultations to postpartum care & guidance to breastfeeding consultations to individualized herbal and nutritional plans. My approach is steeped in a multitude of modalities with various practices for nervous system regulation, connecting in with your innate wisdom and ceremony for how to access simplicity in a complicated time. And I’m a master of hugging with my eyes only! Please check out the link below and in my bio for a simple consult of fifteen minutes or for a more in-depth service. https://callthemidwife.acuityscheduling.com/schedule.php If you are needing any support in these ways during this shelter in time, I am here for you.
