Back in 2013 I got a call from this amazing couple asking if I would like to document thier wedding day. Earlier this month, I got another call asking if I could document thier pregnancy. As a photographer, one of the best compliment I could ever recieve to be invited back into the lives of people I've connected with in the past. This couple in particular is very special to me - they were the ones who really got me started in photography as a business. Just before they made t...hat first call, I had told the wife that if i were to get THE call from them, it would mean that I could legitimize myself as a photographer. I would give me the confidence in myself to step into the world of photography full time. It has been almost a year since I did any real photography - I had considered myself semi retired. But when I got the call again, just like the first time, it revived my passion and my confidence. I dont know if I will step back into this world full time again, but it sure felt great to be able to document yet another form of love. I'll be the first to admit that I am not the easiest traveler. My wife will say that I tend to lag on the packing, planning, and pretty much everything to do with traveling. What can I say, I am a little scared still. But of all the travels I've done - I've enjoyed every minute of it. This was no exception. The wife and a couple of good friends decided to take a last minute trip to one of our naitonal parks over the Labor day weekend and it was amazing. So much nature - so many different things to see and do. If you have the time - find the nearest national park and take a visit. It doesn't cost much (for the most part) and you will experience things you may not ever experience otherwise.

I've always said that being a small part of such an amazing day is one of the greatest honors a photographer could have, and this was no exception. It was a beautiful day in West Covina for a wedding (though it was a bit hot.. ok more than a bit..) and these two took full advantage and made it thier own. From the dress, to the grooms, details, the venues and the food - OMG the FOOD! - every bit of this celebration was all about these two amazing people. Crystal and Tom are on...e of the most charming and fun couple I've had the chance to photograph. You can really see the bond between these two, even if you've only known them for a few minutes. The way they laugh together, the way he looks at her, the way she hold him - everything just expresses love and true companionship. Again, I am honored to be a part of you amazing journey together and prouder still to have you guys as friends. Thank you for letting me document you life. See more

Logged a couple thousand miles on mom's SUV (need to get my own lol) and took the wife out for a little nature walk. First to Bryce Canyon in Utah then to Big Sur in northern California. Felt great to be back in the outdoors again. Hopefully this will be the first set of many more adventures out there.
