Our new iTero Element ...5D intraoral scanner allows for even earlier detection (without the ionizing radiation of an x-ray) with a fast digital scan. In addition to replacing goopy impressions with quick imaging of the teeth, the Element also has a special infrared camera that detects decay on teeth before an x-ray can. This allows our patients to save time and money, since Dr. Fiedler and Dr. Althof can treat small decay right when it begins instead of when cavities are painful or deep inside the tooth.
