$1,000,000! Imagine that's how much YOU have to spend in Mariposa County Budgets; where do you spend it? Let your voices be heard. Mariposa County, led by the B...oard of Supervisors, wants to do everything possible to support and contribute to our community in the ways that are most meaningful to YOU. As we begin the budget process for what we all hope will be a better year, we appreciate any and all feedback you are able to share that will help us deliver on our promise to improve your quality of life through the efficient delivery of outstanding public services. We have also put together a brief survey that we’d like as many as possible to complete. The survey asks participants to rank a dozen services and tell us how you would spend one million dollars in the County budget if it were completely up to you. It should take no more than five minutes to complete, but your input will tell us a lot about your priorities and how we can be more responsive to what you want from your local government. You can find the survey on the homepage of the website or at http://www.mariposacounty.org/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=508

This morning, the California Department of Public Health announced the lifting of the Regional Stay Home Order for three regions including the San Joaquin Valley Region, which includes Mariposa County. What does this mean? As case rates have decreased after the holidays, so has the demand for ICU beds and other healthcare services. The 4-week projections show that regional ICU availability will be above the 15% threshold by February 7th, however current ICU availability in th...e San Joaquin Valley remains close to zero. In order to prevent future surge and to keep our friends, families, and community safe and healthy, we must all remain vigilant. Please continue to wear your masks, wash your hands, practice social distancing, avoid gatherings, and follow guidance laid out in the Blueprint for a Safer Economy. With the lifting of this order, Mariposa County falls back into the Red Tier in the Blueprint for a Safer Economy. You can review what that means by visiting www.mariposacounty.org/2484/Blueprint-for-a-Safer-Economy. Some highlights of Red Tier guidance: Gyms can open indoors with modifications 10% capacity Hotels and other lodging can open with modifications as per the local health officer order for red tier Restaurants are open with 25% occupancy If you would like to learn more about the lifting of the Regional Stay Home Order, you can view the press release here: www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/OPA/Pages/NR21-030.aspx See more
