Accidents happen. It can be easy to get overwhelmed in the moments after an accident, and we want you to be well prepared to take the necessary steps. Here are the steps to take after getting into an accident. -Safety first: Address any injuries. Make sure that everybody involved is safe, and call an ambulance if there is any doubt. -Move the vehicles: If the accident is minor, moving the vehicles to a safe place is the next step. -Witnesses: If there are witnesses to the ac...cident, collect their name, phone number, and address. -Document: Using your smartphone, take photos of the damages, the surrounding environment, and anything else impacted by the accident. -Assist law enforcement: Provide the police and traffic officers with the information that they need in a timely manner -File an insurance claim: Using your insurance app on your smartphone, or calling their toll-free number, contact your insurance provider.
