Show Preps for Armando's Upholstery

Hey Everyone, Well, its early. Off to grab a cup of coffee and then an hour and a half to the huge Good Guys Car Show in Del Mar CA to do show preps on 7 Hot Rods inside a booth at the main arena area. You all go easy and I'll post pics later tonight.

Hey Everyone, A while back we did a full wet sand and buff out on a black 56 F100 for my good friend Armando Jr from Armando's Upholstery, and I just found out it is the December cover truck for Classic Trucks Magazine. Their are a couple pics in our Gallery of the truck in progress. Just thought it was kinda cool to see our work on the cover of a magazine. Okay, I have a sweet spot for old school cool Merc's, can't deny it. Another finished Project, and real attention magnet for sure.

One of my favorite local Woodies all prepped and polished at one of our local Shows. Just a cool color combo, and well done project still in progress.

And another finished Project bound for Scottsdale GoodGuys Car Show.

Hey Everyone, Sorry I have been away for a few days. We have been hard at work prepping cars for both GoodGuys Car Shows in Scottsdale AZ, and the upcoming Show in Del Mar CA Thanksgiving Weekend. Here is just one of several cars we just finished prepping and will be on display in Scottsdale this weekend.

Hey Everyone, Well I recon I will start us off by posting a pic of my ride I have been working on for a while now. Granted she is a PT, and I totally get the whole love/hate thing some people have for them, but she is mine and has been a fun little side project. A little about her....She has a complete custom House of Kolor Kandy Tangerine paint job over 3 stage Cadillac Pearl White base. Flames are basic black, hand laid, with silver, gold, copper, and gunmetal ice pearl... streaks throughout, finished with a hand pin stripe from Viper Red to Hugger Orange which you don't see till you walk by and the colors pop in direct sunlight. She has a complete custom fabbed suspension built by hand by Art, and the crew at Hoppo's Hydraulics in Ontario CA, and lays out as flat and low as she can go on air ride but without any cutting whatsoever. The inside matches with slate and orange heated leather, custom painted dash to match, and 2500 watts of custom matching audio/video set up. Anywayz, that's my ride. See more

Detailing Tips and Tricks: When you dress your tires, do they eventually turn a dull brown in color? Its due to the type of dressing you are using. Products like Armor All are oil, or solvent base and tend to collect dust quickly turning your tires into kind of an oily mess over a short period of time. The solution is water based tire dressing such as Meguiar's Hyper Dressing in their Professional Line. This Product will give the tires a nice deep shine without the mess and splatter of other dressings. Or if you just want a sheen instead of a deep shine, just mix down the water based dressing 50/50 with distilled drinking water for a low gloss look.

And another satisfied customer, and trust me, this one is all business. Its pretty clean but has some issues so it was limited on what we could do with it however their is a chance we might do a new paint scheme upcoming in a couple months.

Detailing Tips and Tricks: A cool and simple trick to cleaning glass, take a clean dry microfiber towel, fold one into four, apply three to four sprays of glass cleaner to one side of the towel and proceed to wipe down the glass. Once done wiping down, flip the towel over to the dry side and continue wiping. Use an up and down motion on the outside of the glass, and a side to side motion on the inside of the glass. Do this and your glass should be looking nice and clean all the time.
