I decided to close again last week, and will continue to remain closed, as "the dimmer switch" for personal services in San Diego County was turned down today. A lot of people are irate with the governor over this. I am not. I AM irate at those people who feel inconvenienced by wearing a mask, by missing a birthday party, or who think this is all being blown out of proportion. This is THEIR FAULT. If you know any of these people, tell them they owe me $$. I have no idea what my plan is moving forward (I know I'm not alone), but I will figure it out, and embrace what lies ahead. Thank you for your support, continue to take good care, and WEAR YOUR DAMN MASK!!!!!
What we know about COVID-19 changes on the daily, but these latest findings are very important to the industry of massage therapy. There is a lot of responsibility in our hands as MTs, and this possibility of DVT being experienced by those who have even had just a mild case of the virus, is a red flag. So, I will be adding this to my protocol until we know more: If you have tested positive for COVID-19, I will not be able to schedule a massage for you at this time. If you ha...ve experienced multiple symptoms of COVID-19 as a pattern since this pandemic began, I will not be able to schedule you for a massage at this time. Every client will get a reading from a finger pulse oximeter after having their temperature taken. As long as your Oxygen reading is 90% or above, we are good to proceed with your massage. I care about all of you, and staying on top of the latest medical research and findings is important to your health. See more
After thoughtful consideration on how to reopen, it's happening next week!! My open letter to my clients is posted on my website. Things will be different for awhile, but I'm back!
I've missed you all so, so, so much. This "open letter" puts into words everything I have been thinking these past weeks. I appreciate all of your support, patience, and concern - but MY greatest concern is YOUR health. I will absolutely get back to massage again. I'm just not going to do it until I feel confident in our safety. Because "kinda safe" is not good enough for all of you.
Hope you are all hanging in there? If you have a massage appointment scheduled for April, please check your inbox for a message from me. I am going to continue staying safe at home as state mandates order, though the end of April. I hope you will too! You may FEEL healthy enough for your massage, but please consider that you may currently have coronavirus and be asymptomatic. I cannot risk being a part of spreading this virus and getting anyone sick - including myself! I care about you all very much, please stay in touch during this time. My email also includes a few resources that I love for yoga at home - Can we all try to use this time to start a healthy new habit? Let's do it!
If any of my clients aren't aware: In order to help stop the spread of Covid-19, I have decided to follow the California Massage Therapy Council's recommendation to stop providing massage therapy temporarily. I am also self isolating at home, to protect myself and all of the people in my community who could potentially get very ill if I throw myself into the virus carrying population. I hope to start seeing clients again in early April, but I will do what is recommended by the Council as well as any state or local mandates. Thank you for your support, and I will be in touch personally regarding any massage appointments that you have scheduled. Stay well!
Don't forget to sanitize your sanitizer! Check your inbox for an email from me on what I'm doing to keep you safe and healthy during this time. I'm still seeing clients, but please do NOT come in if you or anyone in your home has flu like symptoms
My website is undergoing maintenance, and will be down for a little longer. In the meantime, find me here: https://blissedoutmassage.blogspot.com/ you can also use the "book now" button on this page to look at your appointments, or schedule a new one.
