We had the opportunity to service a special guest this week, Allan Palesano aka Whit3 Iverson . Allan has the perfect story of defying the odds. Allan grew up in a foster home with little to no healthy outlets during his childhood, but there was one thing that he loved and happened to be very good at.....Basketball . He gained a lot of traction at a young age with his vision and speed on the court, even to the point that he would constantly break out of his shoes. He wa...sn’t in the best position financially as a kid to get quality shoes like Air Jordan’s or any type of Nike’s. . But his passion and discipline didn’t allow him to give up. Allan played basketball all through high school and his senior year at Hemet High was able to take Hemet to the next level. After playing college ball at Mt. San Jacinto, at age 23 he had a daughter on the way and needed to put his dream on pause to focus on finances for the betterment of his family. . Allan went to work at Nike, then worked construction and soon realized that this wasn’t for him. He tried out for a few leagues and ended up gaining a lot of exposure. He shot the game winning shot and received MVP in the Ballin For Peace Charity Game in 2018 and was able to play with people like James Harden, Floyd Mayweather and more. . Allan now has over 75,000 followers on Instagram and due to his popularity is now able to promote big brands like Reebok and Puma which allows him to provide for his family at the same time. This was a win-win that he never thought or imagined could ever happen to him. . From a kid that couldn’t afford quality shoes to play basketball, is now able to show up at random parks and give away quality-name-brand shoes to kids that can’t afford them. All because he chose not give up on his dream. . I guess you can say that it takes heart to defy the odds. .
