Another #CACitrusExperience flavor we’ve been eagerly awaiting is Earl Grey. This refined, subtly flavored ice cream is made by steeping tea leaves from @TeanceFineTeas directly into the cream. The fragrant, citrusy brightness of the bergamot orange is a perfect complement to the rich, dark flavor of black tea and has made Earl Grey one of the most popular tea blends in the world since it came into fashion in the 1830s! So, grab a cuppa (of ice cream), your favorite period drama (ahem, Bridgerton anyone?) and enjoy. #ShowUsYourScoops
Wrapping up the year and our staff holiday memories series with something extra sweet. When Kris Hoogerhyde, co-owner of our Creamery was little she always looked forward to making pies with her mom around the holidays. Kris’ mom would give her all the pie dough scraps which she’d douse with cinnamon and sugar and eagerly wait for them to bake before diving in with a cup of milk. Kris’ love for cinnamon and pies has definitely continued, and each year she bakes a holiday ...pie in the glass pie dish her grandmother, Rosalie, gave to her mom, and her mom then passed down to her. Tonight, Kris is going to bake with her six-year-old son to remember her mom, her grandmother, and the love they shared through pie. . To kickoff what we hope is a wonderful 2021 for everyone, Kris is sharing her most beloved apple pie recipe with us! To make her apple pie with ginger crumb topping, or re-read our staff holiday memory stories, head to FEAST biritemarket.com/feast : Paige Green Photography
During #CACitrusExperience we celebrate #PeakOfSeason citrus with bright, fresh flavors. Our Blood Orange Sherbet is an updated version of your favorite childhood push pop made with fresh, tart juice from blood oranges. This dessert, with its light pink hue and creamy, refreshing flavor, is a perfect way to start your year with a celebration of citrus!
We’ve been sharing stories about how staff are connecting with their holiday traditions this year. Cassie McKeown, General Manager at our Divisadero Market, has two long-standing traditions: cookies and sleepwear. Each year her mom spends two- or three-days baking Italian cookies, and mails them or hand-delivers them to eight families across the country. Everyone then sends each other their Christmas Eve gifts: always pjs, sleepwear, or something to help you sleep (which is w...hy Cassie has wayyyyy too many bathrobes). Tonight, Cassie and her family, will curl up in their pj’s, sip hot toddies or glogg, and call each other while eating mom’s cookies. Celebrate like the McKeowns with Cassie’s Mom’s Pecan Sandies: 1 cup butter (room temp) 1/3 cup sugar 2 teaspoons water 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted 1 cup chopped pecans 3 tablespoons confectioners sugar Cream the butter and sugar together, then add the water and vanilla extract. Mix in sifted flour, a little bit at a time, until fully incorporated. Stir in pecans. Refrigerate dough in airtight container (1-4 hours). Shape into walnut-sized balls and bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes on an ungreased sheet. Remove from oven and allow to cool, slightly, before rolling in confectioners sugar. Dust with additional confectioners sugar for presentation. Makes 3 dozen To read more about our staff and their holiday memories, head to FEAST (link in bio)

Three scoops for the upcoming 3-day Labor Day weekend! @mel.deisher_cr.eat.es loves a good food pun (who doesn’t?!) and we think had the [rite] idea with this Honey Lavender, Balsamic Strawberry, and Ritual Coffee Toffee combo.
While we think every day is a great day for ice cream, it’s especially refreshing on heat wave days. This weekend why not give the new, not-too-sweet, but oh so creamy Dulce de Leche soft serve a try? Or you can keep the #PeakofSeason love going with scoops of Balsamic Strawberry, Peach Leaf, Blueberry Crisp, and the returning, vegan Blackberry Banana. Either way, stay cool and stay safe out there!
We simply can’t get enough of @MasumotoFamilyFarm, so we made ANOTHER flavor with their harvest. Peach Leaf ice cream is made from steeping young, fresh peach tree leaves to infuse a slightly bitter almond flavor with floral undertones. This one’s definitely unique, so you won’t want to miss giving it a try (available at the Creamery for a limited time only). #ShowUsYourScoops #PeakOfSeason
Have you tried our Balsamic Strawberry Coconut yet? For anyone living the dairy-free life, or just looking for a change, this is the plant-based version of our signature seasonal flavor featuring balsamic roasted bright, juicy organic strawberries, which are then churned with coconut milk for a slight tropical note.
Happy National Ice Cream Day! Hope you day includes scoops of your favorite ice cream with all the toppings, and moments of blissful, sweet happiness. #ShowUsYourScoops #sundaesunday
What was the coolest thing you remember from 2017? If it was our Basil Ice Cream you’re in luck, because it’s making a triumphant return this month. This fresh, herbaceous flavor is made by steeping organic, local basil in sweet cream ice cream overnight, producing a slightly savory treat with amazing aromatics. Pro tip: it gets even MORE delicious when paired with our Balsamic Strawberry.
We’re scooping again! The ice cream case is full of our seasonal, signature, and vegan flavors excitedly waiting for your visit. And for all you soft serve lovers out there, we’re spinning Vanilla and Pomegranate Hibiscus. Last but not least, we’re extending our hours and are now open until 8pm every night. So now the question is, what flavors are you going to get first?
Summer solstice might’ve been a few days ago, but we say summer doesn’t officially start until you’ve had your first scoops of Peach Cobbler ice cream. A housemade, luscious jam of organic peaches from @MasumotoFamilyFarm is mixed into sweet cream ice cream and then combined with a fresh baked, buttery cobbler. It’s kinda like sunshine in a cup, only better. #ShowUsYourScoops #PeakOfSeason
