The Painter performs a combination of tasks, including but not limited to prepping, using a hand palm sander, griding, cleaning surfaces for paint, taping, spraying primer, painting with pressure pot painting system, inspecting finished product, and moving objects in/out of paint booth. Responsibilities: Efficiently paint using a pressure pot painting system Skillfully applying body filler, fiberglass and other materials for body repair Sanding paint, filler, and rust areas to prepare surface for primer Masking or taping around glass, decals and other areas on equipment that is not supposed to be painted Cleaning the painting surface prior to painting and cleaning up overspray and other defects after painting Preparing items to be painted, by sanding, griding, and disassembling items by hand Work efficiently and safely while prepping and painting items outside and in the elements Properly maintaining painting equipment Being able (or willing to learn) to fill in as a sandblaster as needed Assist other team members with their tasks as able Maintain a clean and safe workspace Qualifications: Must have experience painting cranes, equipment or autos Valid driver's license and a clean driving record Experience with pressure pot painting systems is preferred Experience with filler, fiberglass and other materials used to repair equipment prior to painting is preferred Use of pneumatic and power tools to sand and prepare surfaces for paint/primer Experience with masking, covering, or taping equipment Strong work ethic and great attitude Willing and able to work long hours in the elements Benefits: Competitive pay and a matching 401(k) plan Vacation, Company Holidays, Personal Days and Sick Days Flexible spending accounts/Health savings account Bigge provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, military or veteran status.
