FedEx Small Business Grant Contest please vote for The Pawnshop a small business that opened in August of 1958. Grant contest voting The voting period is March 10, 2021 March 24, 2021 Entrants are encouraged to get votes from their fans during the voting period. Votes are one way to get noticed by the judges. The 700 entrants receiving the highest number of votes during the voting period will be used to select the Top 100 Finalists.

How pawnshops work A pawn is a collateral loan. Pawnbrokers lend money on items of value ranging from gold and diamond jewelry to musical instruments, televisions, electronics, tools and equipment, firearms, and more. The amount of the loan is based on the value of the collateral. Pawn loans are small-dollar safety net loans. Pawn customers tend to borrow only what they need, as evidenced by the relatively low national average amount of $150 for about 30 days. The interest ch...arged as well as the term can vary from one state to the next. During the pawn transaction, customers receive a written explanation, called a pawn ticket, that explains the details, including the interest amount, how long the customer has to pay back the loan, and more. Most customers, about 85% on average nationally, redeem their loans and pick up the item from the pawnshop once they’ve repaid what they owe. Pawn loans are non-recourse. If the customer does not redeem their loan, it has no impact on their credit score. Rather, the item is forfeited to the pawnbroker who sells it in their shop, usually at a deeply discounted price compared to retail value. See more

I recently purchased a Ryobi Miter saw from here and the transaction was such a great experience. I initially thought I was going to purchase the saw from an owner since I found the posting on Offerup, but eventually saw it was sold by this pawnshop. We communicated on the app, had a bit of deal-making through Offerup, and then made my way to the shop when we agreed on a price. The shop required their patrons wearing a mask upon entering (which I appreciated). The place was c...lean and organized well. A gentleman named Hector helped me out. He knew exactly what I was there for. He pointed me to the saw, demonstrated it for me, and then processed the transaction. He made sure everything that I had to touch was sanitized and clean before I made contact without being rude about it. While we are allowed to still be open our revised hours are as follows. Monday-Thursday 9-4 Friday 9-6 and closed on Saturdays. Until we get this situation under control.
