I get to get out and fish with Captain Tom Durr is great by me. We not only enjoy one another’s company but we love to mess with one another. I taught Dave David Jakob, who was also on board 36 years ago at Bishop Montgomery high school. He recently lost his mother and needed the peace and serenity of a day on the water. That and some adolescent behavior which I gladly provided. Finally, 14-year-old Alex Lin who was born near Beijing China and is Friedman Adventures new intern was also on board. Just seeing him light up when he saw so many spectacular things on the water reminded me of the first time I saw those things. Plus, he reminds me of a lot of the students I thought the three years I spent in China. All in all it was not only a lot of fun, but just another day I will always treasure.
