Took a road trip up to Lick Observatory at the top of Mount Hamilton, in the Diablo Range just east of San Jose, California, US to capture the views and the sunset atop San Fransisco Bay.

Upwards of 500,000 chickens had possibly perished in a fire at Gemperle egg operation west of Keyes, California according to Ceres Fire Chief Kevin Wise. The building was used to house egg laying chickens according to staff on scene. Multiple fire agencies including Keyes, Ceres, Hughson, Turlock and Modesto, Woodland Avenue and several others responded to the fire which broke out just before 1p.m.

The almond blossoms along a new stretch of Highway 132 that is being constructed in Modesto California are in bloom. New construction in this vast and fertile farmland is encroaching on the valuable farmland and destroying it.
