Valentines Throwback! Happy Valentines Day from BGCSAC! We love what we do because of people like you!
Repost Boys & Girls Clubs of America: Club alum Denzel Washington was the first African American to win multiple Academy Awards. Before Denzel Washington became known for his acting, he was a Club kid attending the Boys & Girls Club of Mount Vernon. At the Club, Denzel was mentored by Billy Thomas and learned several life-long lessons. Denzel has received several accolades for his work, including his work on the movie "Glory" and "Training Day." On his experience at the Club he says, Everything you’ve seen or heard about me began with lessons I learned to live by at the Club." #blackhistorymonth #greatfutures
This month, we 're proud to recognize the many Boys & Girls Club alumni who broke barriers in their respective industries to reach new heights. Help us celebrate these African American "Firsts" and drop a below! Learn more: https://bit.ly/3riGYWD
Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing their central role in U.S. history.

It has been reported to us that there are people soliciting in front of Target in Roseville for the Boys & Girls Club. Please remember that we NEVER raise money this way! Thank you to the concerned folks that reached out to us and let us know. If you see this type of activity, please call the Club at 392-1350 and report it to the store manager. Thank you!
Keeping kids and teens connected to the Club has been our priority since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Building on our weekly Club kit delivery program, we’ve now expanded our services to ensure Club members have access to the programs and support they rely on - from academic support to healthy habits. Club Connect is how we are harnessing the power of our community, the generosity of our supporters, and the resiliency of the Club to do whatever it takes to keep helping Club kids build their great futures. Happy Labor Day from BGCSAC!
One of Ms. Kim’s favorite Club memories...Being able to take so many of our kids to see Black Panther thanks to Bryan Washington. Our kids were talking about it for months! When I would ask them what they liked most about the movie, it was unanimous...’I can be a superhero too - Black Panther looks just like me!’ RIP Chadwick Boseman, an inspiration to youth across the nation.
