We’ve chatted about various types of exfoliation......so how do you know which is best for your skin? First, I encourage you to gently exfoliate daily. This removes the top layer of flaky dead skin cells daily, preventing blemishes and dullness as well as allowing your other skincare products to penetrate to their fullest ability! The SeneGence 3-in-1 cleanser is perfect for this Want to go the extra step? Adding in a heavier exfoliator a few times a week will increase cell turnover and help that younger fresher skin constantly be a the surface! Depending on your skin type, the polishing exfoliator or facial resurfacer will be best for you. Not sure which one you need? Comment below or message me and I’ll get you all set up!

Who here has ever used one of those 4 sided nail buffers that you likely got from an aggressive middle of the mall salesperson ? I used to think I only needed one of the exfoliators (facial resurfacer has always been my lover ), but I was thinking the other day about those buffers and realized how dang stinking smooth my nails were when I went through each of the sides! 1 "Roughest" - deepest exfoliation, get the dead skin offfff - that's your facial resurfacer... 2 Smaller grain - polishes away any uneven surface to a finer degree - that's your polishing exfoliator 3 Finest grain - gets you that smooth buttery surface - that's your 2x a day cleanser 4 Smooth rubbery side - the one that makes them SHINE - that's your moisturizer! Adding that hydration back in and smoothing all the cells back down! (That was always my fav one!) Bonus entry for our scavenger hunt!! If you can hunt down one of those four sided nail buffers in your house and post a pic below (of YOU holding it ) you get _______ extra points

Still not quite sure what your skin looks like? Check out this analogy! The top layer of dead skin cells are like Cornflakes.... The second layer of dehydrated skin cells are like raisins. The third, and BEST layer are like grapes! We can plump up the raisins to look more like grapes....but the cornflakes are preventing our skincare and moisturizers to penetrating fully. So. Exfoliate. Remove those nasty cornflakes. And lets all have faces full of grapes!

Medium exfoliation can be done a few times a week , and my favorite way to do this is with SeneGence’s Polishing Exfoliator. It gently exfoliates to leave your skin fresh and polished! This delicate scrub contains very finely ground ash from the island of Vanuatu . Gentle exfoliation often helps to speed up cell turnover making it an awesome addition to your skincare routine!

There are varying levels of exfoliation. Light exfoliation can be done daily Medium exfoliation a few times a week Heavier exfoliation should be done no more than 1-2x a week.... My favorite way to lightly exfoliate daily is with SeneGence’s 3-in-1 cleanser! It contains a gentle exfoliant that is safe for twice daily use. Each cleanser is specifically formulated for your skin type, and helps to cleanse, tone and exfoliate in one step! Do you know your skin type? Take this quiz and tell me which type you are! www.seneskincare.com
