Well that was fun! Patch is all patched up and back home in his rightful place right in front of the Nut Tree carousel. You can check out good day Sacramento, they did a couple of broadcasts about it.

No it’s not chocolate! But it is the base color for our almost finished giraffe. This will be the last update till after it goes back to the Nut tree. You’ll have to head out to the unveiling!

Almost there!!! All together and standing on his own. Have a few small details to finish up and then it’s time for some color

How about a little giraffe update. After having to take a few weeks break since we do work on actual cars too we were finally able to get all the old paint stripped off. Next week it’ll get a fresh coat of primer to seal everything off than the neck and head will be reassembled. Next week will also be when we start making test panels of different colors, have to make sure we get it just right!

Giraffe update: we were finally able to stand him up this afternoon now we’ll be able finish the fiberglass work on the legs and hopefully start preparing him for paint

Here’s a couple more to add to the giraffe update. management thought we needed the sign just Incase you miss the 17’ giraffe laying in the parking lot! Today we where able to get most of the front leg finished up on the outside.

So we’ve had a few people come by inquiring about the nut tree giraffe so I figured I’d post some progress pics. Fortunately they saved every broken piece so we were able to patch it back together without too much trouble and reinforcing it from the inside. I found a lot of stress cracks that weren’t really visible at first so it’s taking a little more time than expected but the next step will be more reinforcement from inside his chest and belly area before we flip him over and start again from the other side. And then metal pipes will be fiberglassed into the legs for more support when standing. I’ll try to add more pics as we go!

Finally getting an old project finished up

We got this little gem in the shop. Getting a full 1968 silverstone silver paint job

Did a little color change on this Ducati. It came in pieces,customer put it back together now just knocking down a couple little imperfections than a full detail. Loving the color choice!

Finishing up this sexy beast! Hopefully she’ll be going home to her family next week.
