The Brian Gialketsis SERQueer Scholarship In April 2020, the TGIF Committee unanimously voted to establish a $5,000 recurring scholarship for the next three years in honor of Brian and his many contributions to environmental sustainability on the UC Berkeley campus: The Brian Gialketsis SERQueer Scholarship. One week left to apply for the Global University Climate Forum Applications for the Global University Climate Forum are due on Wednesday, 30 September, by midnight EDT. UC Berkeley is one of 11 universities that are part of the International Alliance of Research Universities (IARU) sponsoring this initiative. Multidisciplinary teams of students at all levels from all parts of the world are invited to submit their ideas for climate action projects.... Selected teams will be invited to participate in a series of workshops during the week of November 9, 2020 see the growing list of confirmed speakers below. After the workshops, students will execute their ideas. Successfully completed projects will be included in a publication to be issued during the 26th session of the Conference of Parties (COP26) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). University Health Services is setting up 2-4 COVID testing sites to offer optional testing for all students, staff and faculty working on campus. Up to 50 campus staff (Blank Assistant 3) are needed to operate the sites. ... The University of California is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
