Recent data shows that voters across all political parties are broadly and intensely supportive of strong consumer financial protections and tough regulation of the financial services industry. This support has proven remarkably durable and stretches across party, race and ethnicity, age, and region. #EconomicJustice #ConsumerProtections https://bit.ly/38ai3OD

How can you be an ally? Go to a Black-owned bank. Move your money to the community and minority-owned banks that are anchoring your city or town and bolstering the local economy. "Because of their structure, small banks have become the most reliable source of financial services for minority-owned, female-owned and rural businesses. Relative to large banks, they place more emphasis on personal relationships."... #BankingOnValues #LocalEconomy https://nyti.ms/31djozR

While financial analysts warned that the fossil fuel industry is a dying industry, the Federal Reserve was buying fossil fuel companies' debt through a pandemic emergency program. Some of the bonds purchased belong to fossil fuel firms with a track record of environmental racism. "These bonds are effectively a public investment because the Fed is leveraging $25 billion from the CARES Act as a down payment for the SMCCF's bond purchases. Together with the Fed, the public now holds the corporate bonds of ExxonMobil, Chevron, BP, Phillips 66 and Noble Energy." https://bit.ly/3luWXOn
