BVHC has established and Outdoor Visitation Plan: Our facility will provide a dedicated outdoor visitation space located in the front of the building. The outdoor visitation spaces can be accessed without visitors having to walk through the facility. Furniture will be placed in a fixed position to support social distancing of at least 6 feet between the visitor and the resident. Each table will have a free-standing clear glass shield that will be placed between the resident... and visitor. Outdoor visitation space will have its own dedicated entrance + exit that will help maintain required social distancing of at least 6 feer between the residents and the visitors. A screening station will be set up at the entrance of the outdoor visitation space. An alcohol-based hand rub station will be set up at the entrance for visitors and residents to use to disinfect their hands. The outdoor visitation area will post signs containing necessary information on how COVID-19 is spread and can be prevented. The outdoor visitation area will be monitored by the staff to ensure it remains separated from the facility population and from facility staff. Furniture used for external visits will be cleaned and disinfected by using an EPA approved cleaning solution between visits. See more

Here's a feel-good story that'll make you smile on this beautiful Monday! An elderly gentleman called our front desk asking for directions to our facility. His wife had just been admitted and he wanted to visit her. He was coming from Santee and unfamiliar with our location and had gotten himself lost. After several minutes of trying to figure out how to direct him here our Administrator, Susan was called over to assist. After speaking with the gentleman and not being able to guide him, Susan determined that the best way to get him here was to go out in her car, find him, and lead him to us! It still took a bit of doing to locate him but she did and the husband and wife were able to have a successful visit. That's the Bella Vista difference. We pride ourselves on going the extra mile.

What is Bella Vista? We are a skilled nursing facility! We provide nursing care and rehabilitative services to individuals recovering from an illness, injury, or surgery. Patients are typically referred to a skilled nursing facility by their physician when they no longer need to be hospitalized, but aren't yet ready to return to independent living. Through individualized programs that include physical, occupational, and/or speech therapy, patients are empowered to rehabilitate back to their personal best.

We're feeling the holiday cheer this year because we are still COVID-FREE!! As Covid brings new challenges we are still prepared and have included our safety procedures of how we've managed to stay covid free all year long!

We are a COVID-free facility! Here are just some of the things we're doing regularly to keep our patients + staff safe: All staff members are required to have their temperature taken upon arrival and at the end of their shift and to complete a questionnaire regarding contact with anyone with COVID-19 Any staff with exposure to someone with COVID will be required to stay home for 14... days and will need to have 2 negative COVID test prior to returning to work All staff are required to wear protective masks and face shields Visitors are not permitted to enter the building (visiting may take place at the front door) All deliveries are left at the front door and wiped down by staff prior to being brought inside Doorknobs, handrails, and countertops are wiped down four times a day - front door hourly All staff have been in-serviced regarding signs and symptoms of COVID-19, proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (masks, shields, etc.) Residents are encouraged to stay in their rooms and are required to wear face masks when outside their room See more

We provide a range of rehab programs that incorporate exercise, strength training, pain management techniques, adaptive equipment, and more along with specialized medical care to address each patient’s needs.

Transfer training refers to the methods a patient will use to move his or her body from one surface to another, such as in and out of the shower, on and off of a chair, and toilet transfers. The transfer training a patient will learn will depend on his or her physical limitations. If the patient uses a wheelchair or walking device, this equipment will be incorporated into the transfer method.
