Romans 13:8-10 KJV Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. http://bible.com/1/rom.13.8-10.kjv

Good Friday: Today we commemorate Jesus’s death on the cross. His flesh torn from the scourging at the pillar, his hands nailed to the cross, he labored to breathe as his lungs filled with water and he suffocated to death. Likewise many of our brothers and sisters are now struggling to breathe because of the COVID-19 coronavirus. We pray, oh Lord, that you stand by their side in their suffering and keep them company during their tribulations. You know the pain and anxiety they now face, as it is recorded in the Bible that you perspired blood the night before your crucifixion in the garden at Gethsemane. Please take them into your loving arms and keep them safe. Lift them up and lead them to recovery. For you are the life, the hope, and the resurrection, forever and ever, Amen.
