IMPORTANT It was disappointing to learn about Canada’s decision to extend the interim order that prohibits cruise ships from sailing in its waters and calling on Canadian ports through February 2022 (one year from now). This extension, if not amended as pandemic conditions improve, would require cruise lines to cancel their Alaska (West Coast) and Canada/New England (East Coast) cruise vacation seasons this year. If you were thinking of cruising to Alaska or Canada/New Engla...nd in 2022 or 2023, I would suggest booking soon. People want to travel and as the number of people getting vaccinated increases and travel restrictions open up, people will start booking cruises. Cruise ships will fill up very quickly. If you do want to travel to Alaska this summer, I would suggest a land trip. You can still book land tours or rail trips to see the beauty of Alaska.
