Each year the Big Bear Association of Realtors hosts their Big Bear Association of Realtors Charity - Cantree event. They collect donations that benefit the local Meals On Wheels Big Bear program. Check out their website for more information on donations!

Toys collected by Big Bear Grizzly will be given to the Big Bear Sherriff’s Station, Big Bear Fire Department, and the Holiday Giving Collaborative for distribution. Due to the coronavirus, the Shop with a Cop and Firefighters Shopping Spree events will be cancelled but the need is still there!

To kick off our #12DaysofGiving social media campaign for the month of December, we want to encourage you to participate in #GivingTuesday2020 tomorrow December 1st! Giving Tuesday is a world wide movement to donate and support your favorite charity organizations. What are some of your favorite local charity groups?

The #MyCareMyComfort campaign through #WorldHospiceAndPalliativeCareDay highlights the importance of patients taking control of their healthcare wishes. The needs and wishes of our #hospice patients are at the center of our care plans and our biggest priority when working with patients and their families.

All people deserve to die with dignity and #hospice care is one way to ensure that happens. Our #Hospice patients are able to spend their last days in the comfort of their own homes with quality care provided by local nurses and staff.

As we continue to work towards providing quality services to our #HospiceVeterans, our long term goal is to expand our partnerships with other organizations that support veterans to provide support and mentorship as well as share information regarding resources and support services. #WeHonorVeterans #VeteransDay2020

Our #WeHonorVeterans Team is small but mighty! They are constantly seeking ways to support and improve quality of services for our local veterans and their families. #HospiceVeterans #VeteransDay2020

Every #hospice patient and family is different and we work hard to ensure that our care is tailored to fit their individual needs. We provide 24/7 service and weekly visits from each member of the Care Team in order to make sure that we are meeting the needs of our patients. #MyCareMyComfort

Our #hospice Care Teams work closely with our Medical Director, Social Worker, and Chaplains to develop a comprehensive care plan for each of our patients. Our goal is to keep people comfortable and reduce pain as well as provide support through this difficult time. #MyCareMyComfort

The winter season here in Big Bear can be especially dangerous for our local hospice patients. Make sure to stay indoors as much as possible and bundle up if you do need to go outside. #UniteForSafeCare #WorldPatientSafetyDay

Remember, when getting out of bed or a chair, move slowly and use your arms to support your weight. When using a cane or walker, make sure it is placed firmly on the ground before taking a step. #UniteForSafeCare #WorldPatientSafetyDay
