The #MyCareMyComfort campaign through #WorldHospiceAndPalliativeCareDay highlights the importance of patients taking control of their healthcare wishes. The needs and wishes of our #hospice patients are at the center of our care plans and our biggest priority when working with patients and their families.

Many people assume that #hospice and #palliative care are one in the same. However, although there is overlap in the services provided, there are important distinctions between both types of care. #WorldHospiceAndPalliativeCareDay supports both with the #MyCareMyComfort campaign!

Unfortunately, #hospice is a taboo subject for most people. It's uncomfortable to talk about death and the end of life process! #WorldHospiceAndPalliativeCareDay works to combat this stigma and encourages people to be vocal about the needs of hospice patients and their families.

#WorldHospiceAndPalliativeCareDay is designed to advocate for people to have access to quality comfort care as they near the end of their life. Visit the World Hospice and Palliative Care Alliance website to learn how you can support! #MyCareMyComfort

Remember, when getting out of bed or a chair, move slowly and use your arms to support your weight. When using a cane or walker, make sure it is placed firmly on the ground before taking a step. #UniteForSafeCare #WorldPatientSafetyDay
