We sure do miss you first and hope all of you are staying safe with your families. As we all will get through this horrible incident in history, keeping you all safe is our main concern. With that being said, I am sorry to report today, that we are still in a "Hold" pattern, until further notice. As soon as we hear any news ...or information of when and if we can begin, we will be sure to let all know. Until then, keep safe, and we're here for anyone that would like to chat with us. Good Morning Bear Creek Aquatics - Here is the latest information from LUSD: Lodi USD: I want to thank our families and staff for your patience as we work through this challenging national pandemic situation. We understand that the Governor has given his opinion regarding the possibility of schools remaining closed through the end of the school year. I have to admit that this was very disheartening. As an educator, I value public education and know firsthand how hard staff w...ork to provide quality instruction in a safe environment. As a parent, I remember the joy I felt driving a car full of young ladies to the mall to get prom dresses and hosting a couple dozen teenagers for their prom dinner. It is sad to think that the youth in our community may not experience some of the wondrous events associated with growing up. I know that many of you are frustrated and angered by school closures and the unknown future, but we all also acknowledge that we must take this situation seriously and do all that we can to support the children we serve. Lodi USD is working on methods to provide remote learning and we have a daily student meal program set up. More information about both will be provided in separate communications. Please understand that many employees will be working remotely and information or products that were available to the public quickly may be delayed. We also are aware that not all students have their district Chromebooks at home. We are working on a plan to get those out. At this time, Lodi USD is on its regular break and is currently scheduled to resume on April 6, 2020. Please understand that this is a fluid situation and that direction can change unexpectedly, especially in light of recent media releases by government officials. We fully understand the impact this situation has on our staff and families and we will do our very best to provide quality service to both. Thank you for your continued support and patience. Hello Bear Creek Aquatic Families - I am sorry to report that on Friday, we received the following message from LUSD: LODI UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT... This afternoon, all Superintendents in San Joaquin County school districts, in consultation with San Joaquin County Public Health Services, determined that it is in the best interest of our communities to close schools to help mitigate the impact of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). As we are currently on break, Lodi Unified School District will postpone the reopening of school until Monday, April 6, 2020. All student activities and programs are cancelled during this time that school is not in session. We are not closing down the District. We know this will raise many questions. We will provide additional information next week and we will continue to update our website. Once again, school will resume on April 6. Thank you for your continued patience and support. With the following message, we will be unable to practice, or continue our lifeguarding certs, until April 6th.
