I am a entrepreneur and a woman. I feel weird ‘celebrating’ it because I feel like it’s a privilege that was bestowed on me and not of my own creation. When I think about International Women’s Day, I tend to feel a gratitude for the inner strength that I have come to know to be stronger than any outward expression. I also feel so blessed to have no recollection of feeling unjustly marginalized because of my sex. Maybe I’m naive. Maybe I just refuse to be a victim. Who knows.... I had my first mammogram back in December. Results were that my right breast was an ‘A’ student, the left needed to retake the test. What? I thought my twins were both performing at the same level! This report card was inexcusable! Luckily for me, there are many ways to take a test and ‘lefty’ got a second chance and PASSED! The follow-up ultra sound that I had done today had favorable results and I can breathe again! A little design hack I’ve used for years Use an aquarium for design interest and even STORAGE! I’ve used a larger scale aquarium for a side table/mag storage in the past, and, you guessed it, it was a conversation piece fo sho! The one in this pic is a new and modern seamless version, but the one I initially used years ago had a black frame.
