Ohhh little store, you are a labor of love but I do love you so! I’m starting to get out of a funk (though it never *really* ends, I’m perpetually stressed about our planet and its peoples) and am getting a ton of new fun things in for spring, and am actually planning some programming for the future. It’s not just an endless black pit of despair, like this time last year! Thank you everyone for your support this last year. It’s amazing and I feel so loved by my community. Onward!

Trump lost!! So much work to do, but it’s nice knowing we don’t have a literal fascist coming to the White House again next year. Thank you Black women! Thank you POC! Thank you Indigenous peoples!!! Hope the dems give up on white folks in the next elections because those moderates did NOT come on over. Embarrassing. Anyway, my scattered mess of oil paint shavings DID clear the way to start painting again. I’m reclaiming the color orange, by the way. Smell ya later, Donald!

Voted early last week, feeling like I’ve done what I can. Hoping Biden wins with every fiber of my being. I’m painting today to distract myselfmy friend and art school painting teacher @brandonsmithpaintings dropped off some gorgeous persimmons for me the other day, and I knew immediately what I’d be doing instead of doom scrolling. I completely forgot how difficult it is to razor scrape cured oil paint from a glass palette after years of disuse. It’s a mess, hard, kind of beautiful, and weirdly an allegory for what the moment feels like. Now to clean it up and paint something beautiful, I hope.

I want to say thank you for somehow giving us our busiest October yet! Especially when we are open fewer days! It took a second to hit our stride once we opened back up in July, but we are so so grateful. All the love to you all!
