Many of you know Marie and her heart dog, Kyon. He has been part of BAK9A since the very beginning, and he has helped to train countless dogs and their handlers over the years. In addition to being a shop demo dog, Kyon actively plays in a number of dog sports, including French Ring, Flyball, Dock diving, barn hunt, lure coursing, and urban locating. Earlier this week, the received the news no dog lover ever wants to hear- Kyon has cancer. The emotional hit this has taken o...n Marie has been devastating. He was diagnosed with lymphoma, and Marie has vowed to give Kyon every opportunity possible to fight this horrible disease, and to give him as many strong, fun days as possible. Marie’s friend, Michelle, has started a GoFundMe to help ease some of the financial toll his treatment over the next 6 months. Please find it in your heart to share this post and help support this amazing team as they undergo one of the most difficult journeys anyone can face. Ruby worked super hard last night to find this elevated hide! Our Urban Ratting Class is one of our most popular sport classes because it is accessible for all dogs! It is currently full, however if you are interested in joining our waitlist, let your trainer know!

Once your dog has a strong obedience foundation, group classes are a great way to proof against more distractions! We work hard to get all of our clients’ dogs ready for group classes to achieve the best results!

Starting commands like a recall is best to do with minimal distractions. You always want your dog to understand a command and have engagement before you start proof against competing stimuli!
