Regan in December. With the last streak of warm weather, we see that last burst of color before all the leaves fall off the vines as the plants go into dormancy for their long winter nap. Pruning will start in mid January. Little work to be done at Regan these days, just feeding the horses and collecting organic chicken eggs. Stay safe in the open air this winter as we move past the pandemic

Scenes from the vineyard All the grapes are harvested, the men are putting out compost, bird netting put away, horses are running through the vineyard and the Foreman returns to Mexico on Monday for well earned 7 week breakahhhh. The fall colors show themselves for one last explosion prior to leaves falling to the ground as plants move slowly towards dormancy. 2021 vintage starts in eight weeks with pruning.

Last week on a sunny and warm day in NovemberFelt like a perfect time to head south to Baja California in this 1970 VW van.. a real classic! Tanya, our assistant Wine Club director and all around wonderful employee, sits in her family 1970 Volkswagen bus. The final week of harvest has arrived at the vineyard with the picking of Reserve Merlot and Merlot The 2020 harvest will be remembered by a few noteworthy heat waves, and one major fire. Fortunately Regan was spared from the wrath of the smoke taint and major heat damage. Ripe clean Merlot should allow us to produce great wine yet again. BARGETTO 2018 Reserve Merlot is available now in our tasting rooms and local retail stores. It’s a wonderful wine, perfect as we transition into the colder months Please give it a try, it’s a staff and customer favorite!
